A long-standing Lincolnshire carpet and furnishings firm has undergone a facelift after having the same logo for over 3 decades.

In preparation for their 50th Anniversary next year, independent Lincoln family-run firm Claytons appointed award-winning signmakers and vehicle livery specialists Allen Signs to rebrand their store on Tritton Road.

Claytons were initially planning a simple refurb of their existing signs but Allen Signs put forward a more extensive proposal for a complete rebrand including a new logo and colour scheme.

Director of Claytons Simon Burt said the new look has resulted in an increase in business: “The rebrand has definitely had a positive impact; we have noticed an increase in footfall which has in turn boosted sales, the signage looks very up to date and is now more in keeping with the quality brands that we sell instore.

“Allen Signs worked really hard and did an excellent job achieving the new look for us and after seeing the team’s proposal we were only too happy to take their ideas on board and extend our original plans.”

Managing Director of Allen Signs David Allen said it’s been a privilege to work with a fellow local family-run firm.

“We’re thrilled to have worked with a long-standing business like Claytons, helping them to rebrand their store and adding a new modern look which has already attracted new customers,” said David.

The project, which included concept design, applying for planning permission and manufacturing and installing the new signage, took about a year from start to finish.

New flex face boxes were installed on the front and right-hand side of the building. Allen Signs also put a new skin on an existing box at the rear of the showroom and aluminium lettering was applied to all sides of the building. The team also fabricated a fret cut illuminated aluminium tray to put over an existing box above the main entrance. The next stage of the project will involve rebranding the window graphics and the company vehicles.
