News release

25th September 2012

A group of Lincolnshire organisations are joining forces to try to help boost the local economy as the recession continues to hold back growth.

Lincolnshire County Council, the Lincolnshire Federation of Small Businesses, Streets Accountants and the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce are organising a series of events across the county between September and November 2012 to help create a buzz around doing business in the county.

Buzz4Biz, being launched this autumn, will also give business people across the county the chance to network and learn new skills.

Events include business-related workshops and conferences as well as the first annual Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership Business Summit.

James Pinchbeck, Marketing Partner at Streets Chartered Accountants, commented: “The Buzz4Biz events have been created to support businesses in the challenging economic times we all face.

“These events offer increased flexibility for people to pick and mix the elements that they see helpful to them and their businesses and to tailor support to suit their needs.

“It is hoped that the events can act as a showcase for the myriad of support services and networks that exist in the county and that the businesses who attend will be more skilled and confident in addressing the issues they face as a result.”

Ruth Carver, Investment and Operations Manager at the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, added: “We are happy to promote and support this series of events aimed at growing the Lincolnshire economy.

“These events give people a fantastic opportunity to network as well as get an update on all of the opportunities that are going on in Greater Lincolnshire at the moment.

“Our aim is to create the conditions which will bring improved infrastructure to the county as well as opportunities for businesses to grow.”
