Glass manufacturer Beatson Clark has helped MHT Foods to launch its new Farmer’s Harvest range of jams and condiments by supplying a white flint jar from its general sale range.

The family-owned Leicestershire-based food company launched its new range at Food & Drink Expo at the Birmingham NEC in March 2012.

The jams, chutneys and marmalades come in Beatson Clark’s 370ml white flint fruit chutney jar with a standard twist-off 63mm neck finish. The tall glass jar and gingham printed closure give the product a traditional, country style.

Tony Foster, a Director at MHT Foods, said he is delighted with the flexible service offered by Beatson Clark.

“We’ve been a customer of Beatson Clark for two years now and their service is first-class,” he said. “The jar stands out very well on shelf and offers extremely good value.

“We launched the Farmer’s Harvest range at Food & Drink Expo and we’ve had an excellent response.”

According to Charlotte Taylor, Marketing Manager at Beatson Clark, the company’s general sale range of bottles and jars is an excellent way to launch a new product onto the market.

“We have a wide variety of standard shapes and sizes to choose from in our general sale range, and many are available from stock and can be delivered immediately,” she said.

Glass continues to be a first-choice packaging option for many manufacturers as it is a high-quality material which can be endlessly recycled.

“What’s more, choosing a product from our general sale range is a very cost-effective option.”

Beatson Clark’s extensive general sale range includes more than 60 products for the food sector as well as a wide selection of pharmaceutical and beverage products.
