Ian Dormer, Chairman of the Institute of Directors (IoD), will be the keynote speaker at the annual Duncan & Toplis Directors’ Briefing later this year.
The event, entitled ‘Steering the Ship, Not Rocking the Boat’, aims to offer high-level advice and insights to business leaders from across the region.
Mr Dormer, who has spoken recently about the need for UK businesses to focus on the positive, will talk to delegates about the prospects for British industry and the UK economy in the coming months.
Adrian Reynolds, Managing Partner at Duncan & Toplis, said he was delighted to have such an influential speaker advising delegates at the event on 15th November at the Belton Woods Hotel near Grantham.
“We’re delighted that Ian Dormer can be with us in November to impart his extensive experience and knowledge in business management,” said Adrian.
“This year the theme of our briefing is managing your business through difficult times, which I’m sure is a concept that many business people are familiar with.
“It will be an excellent opportunity for business people to share ideas and hear from a range of influential and knowledgeable speakers.”
Ian Dormer is the Managing Director of Rosh Engineering Ltd, which began as a small family business and has since grown into a thriving enterprise providing specialist engineering services across the UK and northern Europe.

He was appointed as the Chairman of the IoD last year after working with the institute for over 20 years. He has been a Regional Chairman for the North East and chairman of the committee which oversees the IoD’s Chartered Director programme.
