News release

25th October 2013

A Lincoln-based property agent has welcomed a new full-time staff member to its team after an increase in demand for its services.

PIP Lettings, based on Doddington Road, has employed Diane Wilkinson as an administrator after a busy year which has seen a huge rise in demand for its services.

Diane has been taken on at the family-run business, which also has a property maintenance arm, to help to ease the workload and maintain standards.

Diane said: “I’m really happy to have been given a full time contract at PIP Lettings. I like working in a small team where everyone knows each other’s name and the friendly atmosphere makes for a great working environment.

“It’s great news for the business that things are becoming so busy that they’ve needed to take on another full-time member of staff, and I’m looking forward to getting my teeth stuck in to the role.  Michael and the team have been fantastic and are really helping me to find my feet.”

Diane left school at the age of 17 in 1978 and got a job working as a book keeper at a Lincoln accountancy firm before taking a job in a high street bank.  She took a break from the world of work while raising her family and returned to the workplace one day a month at PIP Lettings two years ago.

Her role will involve dealing with rent payments, booking in repairs and following the work up, maintaining mailing lists and general office administration.

She joins Michael Hollamby, who founded the business with wife Katie in 2008. Kate’s father Graham also helped establish the company and is still a key member of the team undertaking viewings, move-ins and periodic property inspection reports. Jan Powell joined the team three years ago to further strengthen the service and to help move the business further forward in its success.

PIP Lettings offers flexible rental services to tenants and landlords around Lincoln,Grimsby, Gainsborough and Grantham.

Michael said: “Diane has been working for us for some time and I knew that she had the skills set required to help now that we’re getting even busier.

“The property rental business is growing and we are taking on new clients every day, so it was important that I freed up my time and passed on some of the administrative responsibility.

“Diane impressed us over the two years that she has worked here so we were delighted that she has accepted our offer.”
