Lincoln Business Club Committee to Stand for Re-election

Lincoln Business Club members have until Friday 20th July to nominate a new chairman or committee member before the AGM on Friday 27th July.

The club’s current Chairman Richard Hare and committee members are all standing again for re-election but members are being invited to have their say on who should run the club.

“Members who would like to be on the committee are welcome to put themselves forward for election but they must be nominated by at least two others,” explained Richard.

“The entire committee is up for re-election and we currently have 10 places available - only nine of which are currently filled. If you are nominating someone, however, please check you have their permission first!”

As well as electing a new committee the club will be donating two cheques for £250 each to St Barnabas Hospice and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

Lincoln Business Club was first was set up in 2004 with 28 members but since then it’s attracted more than 550 members who are invited to the club’s monthly networking meetings.

As well as encouraging networking among Lincoln businesses the club’s secondary aim is to raise money for charitable causes.

Members can now nominate a new chairman or chairwoman as well as other committee roles, including secretary and treasurer, by emailing sheena@theworkslincoln.co.uk

Lincoln Business Club meets at 7am on the last Friday of every month at Lincoln City FC. Membership is free, a £3 entry fee is payable on the door, free tea and coffee will be available and bacon sandwiches will be on sale.
