News Release

19th April 2013

MP Karl McCartney and Leader of City of Lincoln Council Ric Metcalfe will be put under the spotlight at a question and answer style session hosted by the Lincoln Business Club.

At the club’s monthly meeting on Friday 26th April at Lincoln City Football Club between 7am and 9am members will have the opportunity to quiz the two politicians about issues affecting businesses in the city.

LBC Chairman Richard Hare explained: “This is an excellent opportunity for Lincoln business owners to tell our local representatives what matters to them and what changes they would like to see implemented in the future.

“We ran a similar Q&A session last year and received some really positive feedback from our members and the politicians themselves so we’re hoping this year’s event will be just as successful.

“The event is aimed at business people in Lincoln but you don’t have to be a Lincoln Business Club Member to come along. We’d love to see some new faces including members of other networking groups in the city. All we ask is that the questions are non-political and are about local as opposed to national issues.”

Those attending are invited to submit their questions in advance via the Lincoln Business Club website www.lincolnbusinessclub.co.uk although questions can also be submitted on the day. Unfortunately, however, the club can’t guarantee that everyone will get to ask a question on the day owing to time constraints.

Lincoln Business Club is a not-for-profit, voluntary organisation that provides networking opportunities for the city’s business community.

The club meets at Lincoln City Football Club on the last Friday of every month. You don’t have to be a member to attend and entrance costs just £3 on the door.
