Lincoln developer acquires 44 acres of land in North Hykeham

Stirlin Developments Ltd, a Lincoln-based commercial and residential property developer, has acquired a significant plot of land in North Hykeham.
The plot, located to the north of the railway line, is part of the former Lincoln Castings Ltd site and has stood empty since 2006 when the company was liquidated.
James Kirby, Managing Director of Stirlin Developments, describes the project as “44 acres of possibility” and is now meeting with other parties to discuss plans for the site. Outline planning permission has been obtained for approximately 24,000 sq ft of commercial and employment space on the plot.
The acquisition is seen as a very positive step for the North Hykeham area, with investment and job opportunities expected to follow. The other 44 acres south of the railway line have been acquired by Persimmon Homes, who have outline planning permission for 310 houses, industrial and commercial space.
Commenting on the deal, James Kirby said: “I am really excited to have completed this deal. This area has an enormous amount of potential. We are looking forward to developing it into a site worthy of investment that will provide significant benefits to the local community.
“I am also keen to reassure the public that the fishing lakes, superbly maintained by our tenants North Hykeham Angling Club, will continue to be an important feature of the site as it develops.”
