7th September 2011

A nursery near Gloucester is celebrating a year since its opening with a birthday bash this weekend.

The Old Station Nursery at Imjin Barracks in Innsworth will be hosting the first birthday festivities on Saturday 10th September, from 12 noon until 2pm, to mark the occasion.

The event will double as an open day and members of the local community are invited to come along and view the facilities.

Activities on the day will include a bouncy castle, barbecue, face painting and the opportunity to make pottery.

Police Community Support Officers from Gloucestershire Police will be present at the celebrations with a police car and firefighters from the local station will be bringing a fire engine.

The Old Station Nursery Managing Director Sarah Steel said: “Our manager Tracey Wilce and her team have worked hard over the last year to make Innsworth the success that it is today and we think it’s important to take this opportunity to celebrate our success together.

“It will be a fun day for the children and a great opportunity for parents who are looking for childcare to come and have a look around.”
