Networking Lunch With a Difference
News release
23rd May 2012
Pig racing, fine food, dog shows and tractors are not the first things that usually spring to mind when thinking of a networking lunch.
But Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce is planning to give people a fun day out along with a chance to meet the movers and shakers in the county at the annual Lincolnshire Show Networking Event.
The Chamber has planned a get-together for businesses on the second day of the Lincolnshire Show, which takes place on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st June. People attending get admission to the show, which attracts upwards of 60,000 visitors and some 600 exhibitors, included in the price of their networking event ticket.
Rachel Mooney, Events Co-ordinator at the Chamber, said: “We know that the networking events we put on provide an effective marketing platform for creating and developing opportunities and building new contacts – but we also want to keep people interested.
“This is a chance to make the most of a well established and well loved local event while having the opportunity to meet people from businesses and organisations you might not have otherwise made contact with.
“Lincolnshire Chamber networking events are designed to encourage business relations and inter-trading so we hope to see plenty of people sign up for it.”
Everyone buying a ticket will get a two-course carvery lunch from the members’ dining area at the EPIC Centre at the showground, which also includes a glass of wine and coffee. The Chamber’s event is this year being sponsored by banking giant Santander.
The show itself will include livery and equine exhibitions, machinery and vintage vehicle displays, cooking demonstrations, floral decoration and flower shows, Scruffts dog show, craft tents and live music among other attractions.
Tickets for the lunch cost £29.50 + VAT for members of the Chamber and £39.50 for non-members. To book a place, you can log on to www.lincs-chamber.co.uk and select e-shop and then Networking Event to buy a ticket online.
