News Release

18th December 2013

Age UK Lincoln has recruited a new Chief Executive ready for the launch of its recently refurbished activity centre.

Michele Seddon was appointed to the role after working for the local charity for the last seven years.

She began her career at Age UK Lincoln as a Volunteer Co-ordinator before becoming Park Street Centre Manager and then Operations Director.

“I am hugely excited to take the reins of Age UK Lincoln as Chief Executive,” said Michele.

“In particular I am looking forward to developing the team, growing our new personal care service even further and fully re-opening the Park Street centre after the refurbishment.

“I have been heavily involved in the £700,000 Park Street project. Once complete it will be easier for people to use our services as the whole team will be working under one roof and best of all I will be able to see and speak to our customers more.

“We have managed to achieve so much at Park Street within a very tight budget but it’s a very old building that has required more work than was at first estimated. Any support or donations to our Pledge for Park Street campaign will help us to complete the restoration and provide vital support to older people in Lincoln.”

If you would like to contribute to the Pledge for Park Street campaign please contact Fundraising Manager, Georgina Garret on georgina.garrett@ageuklincoln.org.uk
