New Flexolam System Delivers Better Choices for Buyers
News release
4th June 2013
Packaging specialists Charapak and Forum Packaging have launched a cost-effective and more flexible alternative to pre-printed sheets particularly suited to the requirements of shelf-ready packaging.
The new Flexolam system uses the most advanced flexographic pre-print technology to create top-quality, high-impact images for maximum on-shelf appeal, and it also offers a choice of a wide range of corrugated base substrate to complement it.
As a result the customer now has a much wider choice of flute and print quality combinations which are not provided by the larger corrugated companies, meaning Flexolam can deliver a much more tailored end product.
Flexolam offers the quality of finish that creates the type of high-impact designs required for SRP (shelf-ready packaging) applications while its value pricing and greater flexibility are both important benefits in competitive and cost-conscious markets.
Packaging buyers in a number of markets are looking more and more towards the opportunities flexo printed packaging delivers versus litho printed packaging, and Flexolam delivers a choice that isn’t available from the mainstream corrugators.
This new print quality positions Flexolam at the high end of the current litho print market where quality of finish, intricate detail and depth of colour could only previously be achieved by this process.
Flexolam recognises the demands of how packaging should look and perform on the shelf and how colour consistency is paramount. Brand image is everything, and packaging that delivers on both colour consistency and optimum pack design helps maintain the delivery of this image.
Flexolam can offer print in up to eight colours with options of full and spot water-based lacquers, gloss or matt finishes and UV gloss lacquer which can dramatically lift images and give the optimum impact for any type of SRP packaging.
Flexolam is suitable for mid to high-volume print requirements, yet another important benefit of the system is its ability to run in smaller batch quantities, offering greater flexibility and more efficient stock control.
