The Old Station Nursery Takes Part in Barnado’s Big Toddle
Children from The Old Station Nursery in Filkins are taking part in the Barnardo’s Big Toddle.
The short sponsored half-mile walk around the village will take approximately 20 minutes and children and staff will dress up as their favourite animals and take part in jungle-themed activities for this year’s theme.
The toddlers will be raising money for Barnardo’s early years work with disadvantaged and vulnerable children in local projects throughout the UK. This includes services for children with physical and learning disabilities, autism and behavioural problems.
Filkins Nursery Manager Louise Jenkins, who is helping the children to toddle, said: “We have invited all our children to join us for the Big Toddle and we are following a trail of arrows for half a mile around Filkins village. All participants will receive medals and certificates for their achievements. We are delighted to be helping Barnardo’s once again.”
