News release

15 November 2013

Lucy, a nine-year-old Lurcher from Jerry Green Dog Rescue, will be rubbing shoulders with the stars on Paul O’Grady’s award winning chat show next week.

Famous for loving dogs, the TV star regularly invites a selection of rescue dogs onto The Paul O’Grady Show as part of an adoption appeal to help them find the perfect owner and a new home.

The programme will be broadcast live on Monday 18th November between 5pm and 6pm and Lucy will be joined by a handful of other dogs also up for adoption.

Rosie Myers, Behavioural Advisor at Jerry Green Dog Rescue, will be on hand to make sure Lucy is well looked after and at ease on the night.

“It’s an honour to be invited onto the Paul O’Grady show for the second time; we all know how much Paul loves dogs and is a supporter of adoption from a Rescue Centre,” said Rosie.

“I know all the dogs very well and Lucy is very comfortable travelling. Plenty of viewers will fall in love with her kind nature and I’m confident that she will find the caring owner she deserves.”

Lucy is currently being looked after at Jerry Green Dog Rescue’s South Lincolnshire Centre in Boston.

Other guests on the TV show include internet sensations Ylvis, actors Matthew MacFadyen and Stephen Mangan, and singer Gabrielle.
