Parents struggling to make ends meet could save £780 on their childcare costs over 10 months thanks to The Old Station Nursery.

Bosses at the group’s Marina setting in Lincoln are offering the first 10 new families to join the nursery between 1st August and 30th September 10% off their monthly childcare bill for 10 months – and the saving could be worth up to £780.

The idea is to offer families a helping hand help as well as up the number of children at the setting.

Nursery Manager Sam Waite, who is also Quality and Compliance Manager for The Old Station Nursery, said: “We have celebrated our 10th birthday this July and we wanted to do something to mark the occasion, so we thought giving 10 families a chance to get 10% off for 10 months was very fitting.

“We have a number of children who are due to leave between now and September, making spaces available. So for us, it’s a good chance to fill those gaps while offering some families a bit of financial relief.

“The savings could mean a family holiday or other treats that might otherwise be missed out on, so I think it is excellent value.”

People can take advantage of the deal by booking an appointment to visit the setting and handing in one of hundreds of flyers which have been created. The flyers will be distributed to major businesses in and around the marina as well as handed out around the High Street at various times, but can also be picked up from the nursery itself.

The 10 lucky youngsters who get a place should be attending the nursery before 31st October this year. The discounted rate will start from the first month they are with the setting.

The savings represent what a family with a child under the age of two who attends nursery full time could save on a full-time bill of £858 a month. However, the offer is available to all children of all ages who would use the setting.

Sarah Steel, Managing Director of The Old Station Nursery, said: “The cost of childcare has been widely discussed in the media over the past couple of months and we understand the struggles families go through when it comes to paying for their children to be cared for in a safe, secure and stimulating environment.

“While we remain a very competitive provider, we are always conscious that every little helps when it comes to managing the family purse. Hopefully this will make a big difference to 10 deserving families out there.”
