4th February 2014

Shooting Star PR has won a competitive tender to help businesses benefit from superfast broadband and digital services.

The agency has been awarded the contract for the next phase in Lincolnshire County Council’s onlincolnshire project to deliver a multi-channel PR, communications and events campaign.

Shooting Star PR was originally taken on to handle the project’s PR for 18 months in May 2012, so will now continue to build on that established relationship.

The onlincolnshire project is part-funded by the East Midlands European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and aims to raise awareness of the potential of superfast broadband ahead of the rollout of a superfast service over the next few years.

Shooting Star PR will work with the council and its partners to promote a new series of business support events, including workshops and masterclasses on online services such as social media and cloud computing, as well as free cutting-edge facilities available through five Lincolnshire Technology Hubs.

Shooting Star PR Account Manager Cerri Delaney said: “We were delighted to be able to continue our work on the onlincolnshire account. The project is moving in to an exciting phase and we look forward to continuing to spread the word about the possibilities of superfast broadband to ensure as many businesses as possible benefit from free help and support available.

“We have a very strong track record of public sector PR work and we’re pleased that the creative bid we put together for this pitch has been successful.”

Shooting Star PR will be responsible for creating and delivering a 17-month PR campaign including news releases, case studies, advertising, event support, content creation for online and offline marketing materials and social media.

Shooting Star PR has now worked for more than 130 clients since it was founded in 2006, including glass packaging manufacturer Beatson Clark, the UK’s leading school milk supplier Cool Milk, leading fresh food company Freshtime UK and the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership.
