Shooting Star Takes PRide In Award Nomination

Lincolnshire-based public relations agency Shooting Star PR has been shortlisted for Outstanding Small Consultancy at the CIPR Pride Awards 2011.
This is the second year in a row Shooting Star PR has been shortlisted for the award which recognises the achievements, performance and excellent work of PR consultancies in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire region with five employees or less.
Shooting Star PR was the first dedicated public relations agency to be set up in Lincoln in 2006. It currently has five employees and continues to run its Rising Star scheme to develop young talent at the University of Lincoln.
Shooting Star PR works for local and national public and private sector clients across a wide range of industries including DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln, The Old Station Nursery, Waldeck Engineering and Wyboston Lakes.
The CIPR PRide awards showcase the best PR work being carried out throughout the UK and have grown in strength recognising public relations success in the nations and regions.
Commenting on being shortlisted Director of Shooting Star PR, Kate Strawson said: “We’re so pleased to have been shortlisted in the category of Outstanding Small Consultancy for the second year running as we were up against some stiff competition from other agencies not just in Lincoln but across the whole of Yorkshire.
“I’m really hoping that we come away with an award this time but just to be shortlisted is a fantastic achievement and recognition of all the hard work we’ve put in to raising the profile of our clients locally, nationally and in some cases internationally over the past twelve months.”

The winners from the Yorkshire & Lincolnshire region will be announced at a presentation dinner on Thursday 17th November 2011 at The Queens hotel in Leeds.
