SPRING GREEN FESTIVAL TO SHOWCASE SUSTAINABLE LIVING

Bishop Grosseteste University College is going green by hosting a Spring Green Festival next weekend.

The festival on Saturday 21st April 2012 will feature a green fair showcasing green and sustainable local businesses, a skill-sharing event and a human library.

Also performing will be British environmental folk singer-songwriter Talis Kimberley, and there will be workshops, talks and a number of collaborative projects giving everybody the opportunity to get involved.

The event will be held in and around the Hardy Building on campus. Day tickets will be priced at £5.00 and £3.50 concessions.

Hâf Merrifield, Deputy Principal of Bishop Grosseteste, said, “We are really excited to be holding the Spring Green Festival. The environment is high on everyone’s agenda these days and is increasingly an important part of people’s lives.

“It’s a great opportunity for people of all ages to learn about and get involved with environmental issues.”

It is an independent higher education institution based in Lincoln and awarding its own degrees at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate level.
