The state of the Lincolnshire economy will be revealed next week when leading chartered accountants Duncan & Toplis announce the results of their annual economic survey.

A breakfast event will be jointly hosted by Duncan & Toplis and the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce on Friday 15th March at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln.

Guest speaker at the event will be Bill Farrant, Managing Director and Head of Corporate Sales UK at Santander Global Banking and Markets.

Lincoln MP Karl McCartney will also be speaking and the findings of the survey will be presented by Tim Godson, a Partner at Duncan & Toplis.

Duncan & Toplis conducted one-to-one telephone interviews throughout January and February with around 150 Lincolnshire business leaders on a range of issues, including business confidence, finance, interest rates, Government economic policy and the export market.

“This is the second time we have conducted our annual economic survey and we’re really pleased with how it’s gone – we’ve had even more responses than last year,” said Tim.

“The state of the economy and the future for business growth in Lincolnshire is right at the top of everybody’s agenda, so we’re sure there will be a great deal of interest in this data and what it tells us about conditions for business in Lincolnshire.”

Simon Beardsley, Chief Executive at the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “This survey gives us an in-depth look at Lincolnshire’s economy. It is different to other surveys because its results will be based on qualitative information, which digs down to the real opportunities and challenges SMEs face. And once we have this information, we’ll understand what is needed to nurture growth in Lincolnshire.”

The findings of the economic survey will be launched in the Eliot Suite at Bishop Grosseteste University between 8am and 10am on Friday 15th March 2013.

Ticket cost £10 for Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce members and £15 for non-members. To book your place visit www.lincs-chamber.co.uk/eshop/business-events/taking-the-temperature-of-the-regional-economy-2.htm
