NatWest’s Market Strategist has been added to the list of speakers who will be passing on their expert knowledge at the Duncan & Toplis Directors’ Briefing in September.

Neil Parker, who specialises in the economies of the G10, interest rates and foreign exchange markets, will be one of the headline speakers at the annual event at Belton Woods Hotel near Grantham on Wednesday 12th September.

He joins keynote speaker John Cridland, Director-General of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), and Sleaford and North Hykeham MP Stephen Phillips QC at the event.

Neil Parker joined NatWest in 1995 having graduated with an honours degree in economics and a masters degree in international economics.

He has been involved in economic research for 17 years and worked closely with Marian Bell, a former member of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee.

He speaks regularly at corporate events and seminars, hosts a monthly conference call for clients and writes research on economic issues for clients and for publication in influential business journals.

John Cridland, who grew up in Lincolnshire and attended Boston Grammar School, will discuss the state of the UK economy, how the CBI is working to secure private sector growth, the UK’s exporting potential and business needs from the education system.

Stephen Phillips QC MP will talk about the future prospects for the East Midlands economy and how the Government aims to help businesses to pull the UK out of recession.

“We’re delighted to have secured such an outstanding line-up of speakers for our Directors’ Briefing, which is always a very popular event,” said Adrian Reynolds, Managing Partner at Duncan & Toplis.

“I’m sure those attending will learn much of interest about the prospects for the economy, the state of the UK banking system and the latest on Government economic policy.”
