2nd October 2013

For the first time, delegates attending popular Lincoln business event LincUpLive can enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes access by purchasing a VIP ticket.

A limited number of VIP tickets, which include an access all areas conference pass and a seat at the prestigious pre-event private dining function, have gone on sale.

The VIP pass allows delegates entry to the green room and backstage areas and a golden opportunity to network in privacy and comfort with speakers, organisers, sponsors and dignitaries.

They can also attend the prestigious pre-LincUpLive VIP private dinner will be held the evening before the event in the viewing gallery at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln. The hotel is providing a private kitchen with chefs and waiting staff dedicated to catering for the LincUpLive guests for the entire evening.

Scotch whisky distillers The Glenlivet will provide some of their finest single malt for the dinner guests to savour after they’ve enjoyed their four-course meal which will showcase Lincolnshire produce.

The meal will be attended by Lincoln MP Karl McCartney, the LincUpLive speakers and the sponsors and will be an excellent opportunity networking opportunity.

“The VIP pass allows you to meet some of the best minds in business and get to know their opinions and views on the topics that matter to you and your company,” said Glenn Le Santo, co-founder and organiser of LincUpLive.

“Coupled with the wonderful dinner the night before, this is a networking opportunity like no other and one that I would like to make a regular feature of our conference in the future.

“We have more than 40 special guests, speakers and dignitaries coming to the dinner, all of them successful and influential people. There’s only a handful of VIP passes available and we’re already down to the last few. However we still have some of our regular tickets left and they’re currently available at an early bird rate, so now’s the best time to buy one!”

This year’s LincUpLive is on 24th October at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln and is entitled ‘Tomorrow’s Business: Innovation Growth Regeneration’. The conference will focus on giving tips and advice on how to keep up with, and embrace, new technologies and business practices. It will also look at how businesses can benefit from digital technology and online services.

This will be the fourth LincUpLive conference, sponsored by Lincolnshire County Council’s Select Lincolnshire for Business team and the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, and is expected to attract around 200 delegates.

Councillor Colin Davie, executive member for economic development at Lincolnshire County Council, said: "Digital technology is bringing a wealth of fresh opportunities for county businesses. It can improve efficiency, create better connections with customers, and open up global markets.

“Events like LincUpLive are an important way for local companies to find out how they can make this technology work for them. And with superfast broadband being rolled out countywide over the next few years, now's the ideal time to become a part of the online revolution."

One of the most hotly anticipated speakers is Redg Snodgrass, founder of Stained Glass, a wearable-technology incubator based in Silicon Valley, US.

Stained Glass recently launched the first ever app-directory specifically for users of Google Glass.

Other speakers include Steve Middleborough, Director of Engineering at Siemens, and Wayne Gibbins, an Associate at Notion Capital.

LincUpLive 2013 will include all aspects of doing business including HR, finance, marketing, engineering, technology and more.
