7 March 2012

An award-winning firm of consulting engineers based in the East Midlands will be exhibiting at one of the world’s biggest construction industry events later this month.

Waldeck, which was awarded Consulting Engineer of the Year at the Builder & Engineer Awards 2011 and has offices in Lincoln, Sleaford, Nottingham and Northampton, will be exhibiting at Ecobuild in London – the world’s biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment.

Having previously attended the Ecobuild exhibition, Waldeck will return this year as one of over 1,500 exhibitors.

The three-day event takes place at ExCel in London between 20thand 22ndMarch 2012 and is expected to attract 60,000 visitors – providing a brilliant opportunity for businesses to promote their services to a wider audience.

Paul Byrne, Director of Waldeck’s London office, said: “This year we’ve decided to join British Precast on their pavilion (Stand N1450) at Ecobuild to promote our services to the precast concrete sector.

“Waldeck is unique within the concrete industry as we have the capability to design and detail precast and in-situ reinforced concrete structures in isolation, and also in combination as hybrid structures.

“Our team of specialist engineers has a vast amount of experience approaching a combined total of almost 300 years in precast alone, and Waldeck is one of only a handful of consultants which is affiliated to British Precast – the UK’s trade organisation – and sits on the Structural Precast Association Technical Committee.”

Waldeck is a market leader in sustainable design and renewable energy and is one of the few UK civil and structural engineering firms to be qualified and listed on The Green Register of Construction Professionals.
