An award-winning firm of consulting engineers which has an office in London will be exhibiting at one of the UK’s biggest shows for food processing, packaging and logistics in March.

Waldeck, which was awarded Consulting Engineer of the Year at the Builder & Engineer Awards 2011, will be exhibiting at Foodex in Birmingham – the leading exhibition for anyone working in the UK food and drink manufacturing industry.

Foodex, which is the largest event of its kind for the processing, packaging and logistics markets, takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from 25th to 27th March 2012 and is expected to attract over 1,200 exhibitors and over 40,000 visitors over three days.

Andrew Dent, Head of the Waldeck specialist food division, said: “The food sector, including process, manufacture and logistics, represents a large part of our existing client base.

“This exhibition is a chance for us to promote our expertise and explain how our services could be of benefit to food producers and distributors wanting to either refurbish their premises or construct new facilities.

“Waldeck has worked with many of the major players in the food and logistics industries and has been involved in projects ranging from small remodelling refurbishments through to major new build facilities throughout the UK and Europe.”

The key to Waldeck’s success in the food industry is the company’s understanding of key industry issues including adaptation to changes in customer, goods, types of product handled and technology; production of high-quality, clean and sterile environments; energy usage; and safety and environmental risk management.

Waldeck operates across the UK and is currently working on a £210 million customer fulfilment centre in Dordon, North Warwickshire for Ocado Group PLC and a £4.6 million distribution centre in Dicot, Oxfordshire for Booker Group PLC.
