Lincolnshire business people were given an introduction to a cloud-based accounting system by chartered accountants Duncan & Toplis today (Wednesday).

At a breakfast meeting hosted at Duncan & Toplis’ Lincoln office Darren Glanville from Xero explained how his firm’s online accounting software can benefit small to medium-sized businesses.

David Kime and Rachel Barrett from Duncan & Toplis also gave presentations at the free event,  which combined information about Xero with a locally sourced breakfast from nearby Doddington Hall.

“A number of our clients are now using Xero and they highlight several key benefits of using it as an alternative to standard desktop accounting software,” said Rachel.

“It's online, so it’s available any time, anywhere and on any device, and the system automatically imports and categorises your bank, credit card or Paypal transactions.

“Because it’s cloud-based your financial adviser can view your financial affairs in real time and advise you accurately and promptly.

“Xero has everything you need to run your business, including invoicing, paying bills, VAT returns, budgeting, reporting and much more.”

Duncan & Toplis is an accredited Xero partner.
