LOCALLY BASED ENGINEERING DISTRIBUTOR LINKS WITH SIEMENS IN NATIONAL PARTNERSHIP
Siemens has teamed up with West Midlands based engineering distributor, Hayley Group, to offer a world-leading range of Siemens gear units to UK industry.
The partnership is the third in 12 months between the two companies, with others offering Siemens motors and Siemens gear couplings across the UK. It is part of a drive by Siemens Industry to improve accessibility to the UK’s most energy-efficient motors, gear units and associated manufacturing components. Hayley Group is one of the UK’s fastest growing engineering distributors, with 30 branches across the UK to ensure same- or next-day availability of Siemens drive train products. It is also one of the UK companies helping to revive significant manufacturing areas such as the West Midlands.
This partnership will significantly benefit manufacturing and engineering customers all over the UK, bringing impetus to Siemens’ efforts to encourage UK manufacturing and engineering to drive Britain out of recession. Paul Dudley, drive technologies channel manager at Siemens Industry, said the enhanced service would be very popular with customers seeking the best products and systems to maximise whole asset life for UK manufactured goods.
Hayley Group’s Rod Maden, who is based at the head office in Dudley, said: “We can now offer ex-stock delivery on many Siemens components around the clock. This latest highly respected gear range is ideal for high-power applications within industries like energy, power generation, utilities and aggregates.”
Hayley Group is also able to offer service from its 25,000 sq ft facility.
Siemens is building a number of close partnerships with UK suppliers, focusing particularly on growth industries and sustainability. The aim of these partnerships is to build and maintain good working relationships over extended periods, to provide co-operation and lasting value to both parties.
