Siemens couplings, including the well-proven Flender N-eupex range, are now available through Hayley Group, demonstrating this leading engineering inventory supplier’s commitment to the growing partnership it has with Siemens Industry Automation & Drive Technologies (IA&DT).

Siemens is building a number of close partnerships with suppliers, focusing particularly on growth industries and sustainability. The aim of these partnerships is to build and maintain good working relationships over extended periods, to provide co-operation and lasting value to both parties.

Simon Taylor of Hayley Group said this coupling was part of Hayley Group’s expanding service offer and it was proving particularly popular in the aggregates industry: “The N-eupex coupling is Germany’s biggest seller and helps us extend our range of Siemens products, which means that Hayley can now offer a full Siemens solution including motor, gearbox and couplings from stock. Service is key to our operation and to have a partner like Siemens is of significant benefit to both of us.”

High Speed Couplings

The N-eupex flexible jaw coupling is widely used in industries where high speed, high-torque couplings are required, such as with pumps, compressors, fans or blowers. Due to its torsional flexibility it helps move torsional vibrations from the operating area of the mechanical equipment, helping reduce any negative effects on the drive train.

Made of high quality cast iron, the N-eupex coupling’s flexible element is made of synthetic rubber (Buna N) which is available in different degrees of hardness depending on the application. Metal pins and flexible elements are designed so that no wear occurs when properly fitted.

The N-eupex coupling comes in standard or DS option with fail-safe device, and can be used in operating temperatures from -50°C to +100°C. It is available from Hayley Group in sizes from 58 up to 350.

For Siemens IA&DT, drive technologies channel manager Paul Dudley said the investment in coupling stock by Hayley Group showed its commitment to benefit customers with the best range of products available.
