Shoppers Save More than $195M at Sierra Trading Post through July

CHEYENNE, Wyo., Aug. 30, 2012Sierra Trading Post customers saved more than $195 million off retail prices through July. In that month alone, shoppers got ready for the last hurrah of summer adventures and saved more than $25 million off retail prices.

“We had a lot of great product come in,” says multichannel merchandising manager Dakota Waide. “We forged relationships with new-to-us vendors, and when we look at the numbers, customers really liked those additions.”

Edelrid climbing gear and Billabong are two of the brands introduced to Sierra Trading Post customers, who also saw more styles of DC Shoes added to the product mix. Also in July, Sierra Trading Post added significantly more product from Columbia Sportswear.

To make accessing Great Deals on Great Brands even easier, the Top 100 Internet retailer will launch an app for Android users in coming weeks and an Apple app before year’s end and continues developing plans for a significant expansion of its retail operations.
