Cheyenne, Wyo., Feb. 24, 2012 – Sierra Trading Post, a brick & click e-tailer, has made significant enhancements to its Share Your Adventure photo contest. The contest is now monthly, and rather than one winner, Sierra Trading Post will be selecting first ($200 gift card), second ($150 gift card) and third place ($100 gift card) winners.

“Our community loves outdoor adventure, and we’ve seen some unbelievable shots since launching the original contest in 2009,” says Juliette Rule, Community Development & PR manager for Sierra Trading Post. “With better prizes than ever, we’re hoping to see a spike in entries, so that we can share even more terrific adventure photos with our fans.”

Each month, the contest works like this:

  • Week 1-3: Open for photo entries
  • Week 4: Social voting and STP judging
  • Week 4: Winners announced (last Friday of the month)

The STP panel of judges picks the winners, taking into consideration the community’s top picks. Photos are also evaluated for seasonality and overall composition. The first place winner’s image and story behind the adventure are featured on the SocialHub the last Friday of the month. All winners are announced on the SocialHub as well as Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
