Sifo Group acquires Baltic media monitoring company

Sifo Group acquires Baltic media monitoring company Sifo Group AB has signed an agreement to acquire the operations of the Baltic media monitoring company Observer Eesti OY. Observer Eesti, with head office in Tallinn, is the leading media monitoring company in the Baltic States. The operations, which are conducted in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, employ 10 persons and the turnover for 1998 is estimated to EEK 2 M. Observer Eesti will be integrated with the Observer Media Intelligence division of Sifo Group. Observer Media Intelligence is the leading company within media and market monitoring in Europe and has operations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Germany. "The acquisition of Observer Eesti complements our existing operations and contributes further to strenghten our position as the leading company within Media Intelligence in the European market", says Hans Strand, head of Observer Media Intelligence division.
