Sikich Client First to Go Live on Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 in North America
NAPERVILLE, Ill. — June 20, 2012 — Sikich LLP, a leading accounting, advisory, technology and managed services firm, delivered the first go-live of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 in North America last week. Sikich is also the first partner in the world to implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, in a hosted environment.
Sikich’s client, Deerfield, Ill.-based SagePath Medical LLC, is an early-stage integrated pharmaceutical sales support firm that required rapid deployment of a strong financial and ERP system to support its dynamic and high-growth business model. After working closely with SagePath to understand the company’s unique business requirements, Sikich recommended Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013. The solution’s flexibility provided an open platform for Sikich’s consultants to easily customize for these specific needs:
- Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 is highly configurable. SagePath has unique processes related to its sales and operations teams, customer service commitment, and future inventory warehouse needs for managing and tracking promotional items.
- Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 has a flexible chart of accounts structure. SagePath can manage and track its detailed customer contracts in the NAV chart of accounts by analyzing and presenting key information for internal and external reports. Dimensionality is especially important to SagePath employees since they will manage contracts with multiple clients, each with some unique reporting needs.
- Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 integrates easily into other software systems, including SagePath’s expense management, industry-specific customer relationship management, and payroll provider solutions.
- Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 handles international requirements. SagePath’s future growth plans include potential expansion into international markets, and NAV is designed to meet local regulatory and international market requirements with more than 40 localized versions that include multi-currency and multi-language capabilities.

By rapidly deploying the solution in Sikich’s hosted environment, SagePath also greatly reduced its up-front capital investment and will alleviate some workload of its information technology staff.
