PAYNOVA LAUNCHES PAYOUT SERVICE WITH CINT
Paynova has signed a partnership agreement with Cint Index AB for handling payments made to the 200,000 or so members of Cint’s national and international consumer panels. Participants are paid for taking part in questionnaire surveys. Paynova gains a significant number of new users, all of whom are given Paynova wallets, into which money is deposited for them by the clients.
Cint’s member base and developed system platform, together with Paynova’s payment services and wallet users, form the basis for the new marketing services and for the partnership. By combining their technical platforms and user databases, Paynova and Cint are creating an effective and competitive means of managing administration, marketing and payment transactions for online consumer activity.
“It’s currently not feasible to send small sums abroad,” says Bo Mattsson, CEO of Cint Index AB. “Through our partnership with Paynova we can accomplish our expansion to Denmark, Finland and Norway and handle payments from one and the same place.”
Cint (Consumer Intelligence), which is active throughout Scandinavia, operates the largest site for consumer opinion in Sweden through its Swedish subsidiary Cint AB. The CPX service (Cint Panel xChange) is an open marketplace for attitude surveys, with approximately 200,000 registered members belonging to close to 20 different consumer panels. These panels handle over 60,000 questionnaires every month and form the basis for sorting, selecting and sending out surveys. Panel participants in CPX have agreed to regularly answer questionnaires on products and services that are ordered and paid for by Swedish and overseas survey institutes or by commercial companies. Payment of up to SEK 60 is made for each questionnaire. The panel participants will from now on be offered the opportunity of receiving these payments via a Paynova wallet. The money can then either be transferred to the participant’s own bank account or used for online purchases.
The parties have also agreed, on the basis of their shared system platforms and customer databases, to create a service for targeted e-mail and sms-based marketing that has previously been accepted by the recipients (“permission based marketing”). This business model has been used very successfully in the USA, where the marketing was found to be cost-effective and the consumers appreciate the attractive offers associated with the targeted and requested advertising.
“This partnership with Cint has several interesting growth dimensions,” says Pelle Hjortblad, CEO of Paynova AB. “A large number of new wallets will be automatically generated where money for purchases is regularly paid in. In addition, together we can attract both consumers and e-retailers as portals and other players on the Internet in a way that develops the online shopping market.”
