PAYNOVA TO DELIVER PAYMENT SOLUTION TO SJ
The railway company SJ has decided to use Paynova’s payment solution for all types of tickets sold online by SJ. The Paynova Wallet gives travellers the option of using one of a number of different payment methods, such as Internet banking, various credit cards and giro and bank transfers. SJ, together with Paynova, has already begun planning the integration of the payment solution.
“This agreement makes SJ our biggest customer to date, and is a breakthrough in our campaign to win over public transport companies,” says Paynova’s CEO Pelle Hjortblad. “Paynova gains a reference that can be used internationally, as well as recognition among SJ’s many customers that we are very pleased about.”
The proportion of SJ’s ticket reservations that are made over the Internet is steadily increasing, amounting last year to 27 per cent of ticket income. With the Paynova Wallet, the payment options on SJ’s website are supplemented with those payment methods available in the Paynova Wallet, e.g. Internet banking, unembossed credit cards and via bank accounts, which SJ currently does not have.

This must be done in a cost-effective way, and our customers must be able to pay for their tickets quickly and easily.”
Paynova already has agreements with Mecenat and Studentkort i Sverige AB, who offer various kinds of student discounts, including discount cards from SJ.
