Italian masterpiece confirmed for NEC Classic Sale
A rare slice of motoring history is being offered by Silverstone Auctions which has unveiled a stunning Lamborghini 400 GT, one of just 247 ever made, as one of the latest entries into its next sale.
Estimated at between £155,000 to £175,000, this 1967 head-turner has benefitted from a thorough restoration and the result speaks for itself, offering drivability, luxury, performance and style in equal amounts.
It is one of the latest models to join the growing line-up for the Silverstone Auctions’ hosted sale at the NEC on 17th November, a highlight of the three-day Footman James Classic Motor Show.

“Indeed, this Lamborghini is a work of art in its own right and boasts some of the finest Italian craftsmanship. It’s a real masterpiece of automotive engineering and is just waiting to be driven and enjoyed.”
While its looks alone would be enough to tempt many bidders, the car’s performance figures are equally as impressive. Underneath the bonnet is an awesome 320 bhp, 4.0-litre V-12 engine, while a smooth drive is provided courtesy of a manual five-speed gearbox and a four-wheel independent suspension system with double wishbones.
Meanwhile, recent works have included new shock absorbers, steering arm, brakes, alternator and oil cooler pipe, while its sporty and aggressive stance is achieved by sitting on iconic Borrani wheels.
The interior is as equally impressive, right down to the quilted insulation on the inner wings which are factory correct.
“This has been a ground-breaking year for Silverstone Auctions and this will be our last sale in 2012. However, judging by the calibre of cars that we’ve already secured for the event, I think we’ve possibly saved the best till last,” added Nick.
