Rare opportunity to secure CarFest tickets
Thanks to Silverstone Auctions there’s still one more chance to get hold of tickets for CarFest, a unique family festival of cars, food and music, which is shaping up to be one of this summer’s ‘hottest’ events.
That’s because vendors who have their vehicle accepted by Silverstone Auctions for the charity car sale, part of either CarFest South on 25th and 26th August or CarFest North on 8th and 9th September, will be entitled to a free one day ticket for the car, food and music extravaganza.
And anyone interested in submitting an entry for consideration is advised to be quick off the ‘marque’ to avoid possible disappointment.
“The number of cars we can accept is limited and it’s strictly on a first come, first served basis, and are subject to a couple of entry conditions. Interest in the event is already reaching fever pitch, so for anyone considering selling their classic car, CarFest could be one of the best opportunities this year,” said Nick Whale, managing director, Silverstone Auctions.
Vehicles already confirmed for auction include a 1964 Austin Healy 3000 BJ8, a 2003 Chesil Speedster Porsche 356 and an Austin Gipsy.
Both weekends have two very distinctive sales. The ‘Pride and Joy’ auction on each Saturday is for cars up to £25,000, while the ‘Sunday Best’ sale is for models valued in excess of £25,000, such as Jaguars, Aston Martins, Ferraris and other performance and luxury marques.
However, the auctions are just one of the highlights at CarFest which take place at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire and Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire.
Other attractions include live music from bands such as Texas and Razorlight, a hillclimb sprint, camping, a gourmet food festival, plus many other family orientated attractions.
CarFest is the brainchild of TV and radio presenter and famous car nut, Chris Evans, and is raising money for Children in Need. This will include Silverstone Auctions donating 50 per cent of its profits from the auctions.
Anyone interested in entering their car for sale, and for full terms and conditions, should contact Silverstone Auctions on 01926 691 141, email enquiries@silverstoneauctions.com or visit www.silverstoneauctions.com
