State of Wisconsin Investment Board taps SimCorp as part of strategic transformation
New York – 17 January, 2025 – SimCorp, a leading global financial technology company, announced today that the State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB) will leverage the SimCorp platform to bring its investment book of record (IBOR) in house while accessing real-time data on its positions and exposures across the organization.
As part of the agreement, SWIB will retire its outsourced IBOR. SWIB will also leverage SimCorp’s Data Management Services, gaining timely market and reference data to simplify data access for all users of the platform.
“Our strategic partnership with SimCorp will support our mission to deliver strong investment returns for the beneficiaries of the Wisconsin Retirement System," said Rochelle Klaskin, Chief Operating Officer at SWIB.
With more than $166 billion in assets under management as of September 2024, SWIB’s implementation marks a significant milestone in SimCorp's expansion within the North American pension sector.
"We are thrilled to see SWIB go live as part of their strategic business transformation,” said Allen Zimmerman, Managing Director, Head of Americas at SimCorp. “This milestone demonstrates our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. We look forward to continuing our partnership with SWIB to drive further success."
* SimCorp won the award for “Best IBOR (Investment Book of Record) Platform” at the 2024 Buy-side Technology Awards. Hosted by WatersTechnology, the Buy-Side Technology Awards recognize innovative technologies developed to make buy-side institutions operate more efficiently.
