Azea present Certificate of Commendation to delegate that put health and safety training into practice during two life threatening situations
An OHL Delivery Manager of Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions has been awarded Certificate of Commendation by health and safety training provider Azea Limited after putting training into practice during two separate incidents.
Bruce Durham, Director of Training at Azea Limited, the UK’s market leader for providing behavioural safety training and accident reduction solutions to all industries including construction, mining, rail and utilities,presented a Certificate of Commendation to the OHL Delivery Manager of Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions for his acts of bravery which required his first aid training to be put to the test.
In the space of one week, the Manager from Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions (BBUS) administered CPR on a colleague in the highlands in Scotland, who suffered a heart attack while sitting next to him in a car. Days later, the same Manager assisted at the scene of a road traffic accident in which a pedestrian had been trapped between two vehicles.
The manager from Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions successfully administered two treatments and was awarded the Certificate of Commendation as a mark of his bravery in these challenging situations.
In addition to awarding the Certificate of Commendation, Azea Limited also presented Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions with a donation of £300 to give to a charity of their choice.
The Manager from Balfour Beatty, trained in behavioural safety techniques delivered by Azea Limited said:
