Camfil has launched a certification scheme for buildings that promote clean indoor air quality

Camfil, the world leader in providing air filtration solutions for maintaining healthy and comfortable indoor environments, has launched a certification scheme for buildings that promote clean indoor air quality through the selection and application of comfort air filtration.

The Excellence in Air Quality Certificates will be awarded to FM’s, Estates Managers and Building Managers over the coming months during the European Year of Air 2013.

Bill Wilkinson, Managing Director of Camfil UK said:

There is a good chance that, at this very moment, you are breathing clean air that has passed through a filter manufactured by us.  Our products can be found everywhere from offices to clean rooms for sensitive electronics production, schools, mines, factories, hospitals and nuclear power stations. We want to reward those building owners and managers that promote clean indoor air quality in their buildings.  We need to raise awareness of how important clean air is for healthy living and working.”

The Certificate, awarded by Camfil UK, has ‘air system star quality points’ based on the correct use of comfort air filtration and also that recommendations given by BSI EN 13779:2007 for air filters classed by BSI EN 779:2012 have been consistently implemented in all the building areas.
