Pharmaceutical Air Handling Units, MEMU Mobile Energy Monitoring Units now available from EECO2

A MEMU (mobile energy monitoring unit) is an independent standalone MM&T (Metering Monitor & Targeting) system containing everything required to monitor & record energy use remotely. The monitored data is transmitted to a dedicated Web Portal via GSM technology and stored for user access and reporting purposes on our dedicated Web-Based Bureau.
With the installation of a local SIM card the MEMU can be used anywhere in the world where GSM is available.
These saving verification units are re-locatable at which is ideal for temporary installation to a system to show the “before and after energy consumption” as part of any energy saving upgrade.
There are a range of energy saving products and services available from EECO2 that will aid you and your company in reducing carbon emissions and overall running costs.
At EECO2 our philosophy is "if you cannot monitor it you cannot manage it" so our MEMU products focus on monitoring energy usage and have a wide range of applications such as air handling systems, chillers, boilers etc. These devices are applicable to many industry sectors including pharmaceutical/life sciences, hospitals, schools, warehouses, supermarkets and offices.
The standard unit for a pharmaceutical Air handling Unit (AHU) is set up to monitor -
- Supply Motor energy
- Pre Filter Pressure
- Secondary Filter Pressure
- Final Filter Pressure
- Supply Air Velocity / Volume
The data collected is then transmitted to our dedicated information portal from which the data can be gathered and analysed to provide the following -
- Supply Fan Motor energy use.
- Running times (night and weekend setback)
- Filter change prediction
- AHU faults failures

- MEMU standard enclosure
- Electrical 3 Phase meter in separate enclosure with single CT for a balanced load (additional CT's can be purchased upon request to monitor unbalanced loads)
- 3 x LCD panel display Pressure Transmitters for monitoring filter pressures
- 1 x Duct mounted Velocity Sensor to measure supply velocity
- 2 Years SIM and Web hosting for data collection and storage
- Web portal access password - email address required
- Web portal set up support - Additional support is provided as part of a Yearly Service Pack

Optional Extra's
Yearly Service Packs are available to provide regular reports, fault monitoring / notification and problem solving. The following 4 levels of service are available -
- Bronze - 1 x Year End Energy Report, Alarm Alerts, Alarm Support.
- Silver - 2 x Energy Reports (half year and year end), Alarm Alerts, Alarm Support.
- Gold - 4 x Quarterly Energy Reports, Alarm Alerts, Alarm Support.
- Platinum - 12 x Monthly Energy Reports, Energy Trending, Alarm Alerts, Alarm Support.
Annual SIM and Web hosting
After 2 years the SIM and web hosting will need to be renewed if required. This can be purchased on a year by year basis as required. Cost for this can be provided by contacting us.
Additional Sensors
The MEMU can be upgraded with additional sensors to monitor the following -
- Additional Energy Meter - To monitor extract motor energy
- Temperature / Humidity sensor - coil duties, supply & return air conditions
- Vibration Sensor - to monitor motor / fan wear
Please note the standard MEMU is limited to 8 sensor inputs (not including the energy meter) so is limited to 5 extra sensors.
Expansion modules are available if required. Cost for this can be provided by contacting us.
Delivery / Installation
We offer a Delivery only or full installation (advised) Delivery is offered worldwide. Installation is offered worldwide however the prices listed are for UK only. Please contact us for non UK installations.
Installation is subject to the following conditions -
- Clear and unrestricted access for 1 Day
- Access equipment available (ladders etc)
- 2 x single phase sockets available - ideally L1 phase
- Site electrician to be available for safe isolation - this for CT installation
