Sims Recycling Solutions Reaches Another Milestone: e-Stewards 2.0 Certification in All U.S. Facilities
New standards focus on data security and greater employee and environmental protections
Sims Recycling Solutions, the global leader in IT asset reuse and recycling, has recently received its Certification to the e-Stewards 2.0 Standard at all of its U.S. facilities. In alignment with this advanced certification, Sims continues its commitment to process electronic devices in a manner that protects customer data and provides the greatest assurances in environmental and social responsibility.
“This certification upgrade demonstrates Sims’ commitment to providing our customers the assurance that their material is handled with integrity and full accountability,” stated Steve Skurnac, president of Sims Recycling Solutions. “This keeps the company at the forefront of industry shifts and signals to enterprises that we are constantly striving to improve our services.”
Sims’ North American facilities were e-Stewards certified in early 2014 and also retain a number of other health, safety and environmental certifications including the Responsible Recycling Practices Standard (R2), ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
