Tucson Publication Ranks Sims Recycling Solutions as Top Recycler
Electronics recycler employs almost 100, earning company first-place ranking
Sims Recycling Solutions, the global leader in electronics reuse and recycling, has been ranked as the number one electronics recycler in the January 30, Tucson Business Journal. This publications’ annual list ranked nine local recycling firms in the Tucson area, by the number of full-time, local employees. Sims currently employs 77 at its Tucson facility.
Tucson's state-of-the-art machinery and technologies allow for its highly trained recycling experts to work as specialists in recovering the maximum amount of asset value from the materials recovered. As a result, the all-encompassing remarketing and asset management services provided are the most legally compliant, data secure, fully traceable and environmentally sustainable available. Sims also demonstrates its commitment to the safety of all employees by maintaining strict internal safety standards that have been implemented at all Sims sites across the globe.
“As the global leader, it is important to acknowledge our services are not only worldwide, but available locally as well,” stated Steve Skurnac, president of Sims Recycling Solutions. “As the number one recycling firm in Tucson, this site will continue to provide cutting edge sustainable services for local businesses and members of the community as it has since opening in 2007.”
Sims Recycling Solutions’ Tucson shredding plant includes custom designed conveyers, permanent magnetic separators and rare earth eddy current magnetic separators. The facility maintains various environmental, health and safety certifications which include e-Stewards, Responsible Recycling (R2), ISO 9001 and 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
