  * SinterCast Mini-System 3000 to be shipped during fourth quarter of 2012
  * Ongoing product development for high performance cylinder block, head and
    bedplate
  * Tenth installation in the Asian market and further growth in the industrial
    power sector

[Stockholm, 18 October 2012] - Building on SinterCast's longstanding support of
Compacted Graphite Iron (CGI) product development in the industrial power
sector, an undisclosed Asian OEM has ordered a Mini-System 3000 to support
ongoing product development in its foundry.  At the request of the OEM, the
details of the installation and the engine programme must remain confidential
until the planned series production launch, although SinterCast can confirm that
the cylinder block, the cylinder head and the bedplate are all under development
in CGI.   The Mini-System 3000 will be shipped during November 2012 and
commissioned during January 2013.

"This agreement marks our tenth installation in Asia, broadening our presence
and brand awareness in the critical Asian market and providing new opportunities
to increase our production of components other than automotive cylinder blocks
and heads" said Dr Steve Dawson, President & CEO of SinterCast.  "Despite the
current economic climate, we are experiencing a clear increase in CGI product
development and installation planning.  This increase will allow us to deliver
on our commitment to secure three new installation commitments before the end of
2012 and will also provide new installation opportunities during 2013.  We look
forward to supporting the CGI product development activities for this high
performance engine and increasing our presence in the industrial power sector."
