Celebrating London Fashion Week, London based label JHB/GI, will be bringing an exciting fashion, light and music installation to the creative hub of the Newburgh Quarter as part of London Fashion Week.

The pop-up exhibition will open on Saturday 18th until Tuesday 21st February.  A one-off chance for the public to be part of London Fashion Week, and see the trends before they hit the press.

JHB/GI have curated the collection of fashion, music, light and art across different platforms.  A preview of the JHB/GI AW12 collection, entitled ‘Pachinko’, inspired by the Japanese national pastime similar to pinball will be exhibited alongside a rare original 1990s Pachinko machine.

In collaboration with singer Ayah Marar, GNI projects and Architainment, JHB/GI have created a concept video which will be screened at the exhibition.  Visitors to the space will experience a pioneering light installation featuring JHB/GI graphic illustrations and colour changing light.  The creative process behind JHB/GI’s illustrations will be shown through a time lapse short film.

JHB/GI by James Hamilton-Butler and Georgie Ichikawa is a London based label.  James is an internationally acclaimed artist/art director and Georgie is former head designer for Alexander McQueen x PUMA.  The label fuses cultural Japanese iconography and contemporary design to offer a unique and intriguing assortment of graphic prints and wearable garments for men and women.

The installation is free to attend and is located at 17 Newburgh Street, just a step away from the world famous Carnaby Street. This historic London destination is on-trend and fashion forward, appealing to the discerning shopper who demands something different.

Georgie and James are available for interview opportunities.
