CARNABY CATWALK - Free catwalk shows on Carnaby Street. Key trends and looks for A/W 11 will be showcased.
As a prelude to London Fashion Week, this catwalk show will be staged three times during Saturday 10 September (1pm, 3pm, 5pm). On the day, each show will feature the key looks from the A/W 11 collections available from Carnaby shops.
The looks have been curated by 3 guest stylists from the fashion industry including Sarah Owen, co- founder and owner of boutique Lucy In Disguise, with her sister Lily Allen. Produced by Doll, the team behind ON|OFF for London and Paris Fashion Weeks, the catwalk shows will reflect the variety, quality and unique nature of this vibrant style destination.
Shoppers can enjoy free fashion activities in shops throughout the day. Watch Swing Dance performances by Swing Patrol in Kingly Court in conjunction with boutique Revival, be a fashion photographer for the day with Lomography’s Fashion Photographer workshop (tickets £10) and get the A/W 11 beauty looks at the Make Up Store with complimentary makeovers. Nail bars will be set up in American Apparel and Beyond The Valley and enjoy live bands play in Gola Classics and Merc. A full list of in-store activities can be found on carnaby.co.uk.
Shoppers can get the coverted new A/W 11 Carnaby canvas tote bag for free in Kingly Court. Check out the CarnabyLondon Facebook page for more details.
London College of Fashion will be launching ‘College Shop’, their first ever pop up retail space, stocking unique and one-off creations by its legion of multi-talented alumni. Located in Kingly Court, shoppers will be able to snap-up luxurious, one-off, affordable pieces by emerging design stars with stock rotating daily. Carnaby’s restaurants and bars will be offering fashion themed menus and drinks throughout the day.
