Regent Street, London W1 which has over 180 years of history and will soon to festooned with union flags in the lead up to the Royal Wedding celebrations has launched a fun competition on its consumer website Regentstreetonline.com with the requisite that all entrants are named either Kate or William.

Kates and Williams from across the world have been asked to upload a photo of themselves wearing the outfit they would wear to a fabulous wedding.  This can be as a wedding guest or even as the bride or groom.

The online competition will run until 15 April 2011 and is open to all individuals or couples aged 18 years or over. The winning Kate and William will both win a fantastic Tea Royale for two at the Palm Court and an overnight stay for themselves and their partners in a Grand Junior Suite at The Langham, London.

As the excitement builds in the UK, many of the Regent Street retailers, restaurants, cafes and bars are creating special product offers and packages in the lead up to the Royal Wedding celebrations.

Here are just few of the Regent Street weeding offers;

AQUASCUTUM - Aquascutum will hold and in store event to celebrate the Royal wedding and Aquascutum’s ‘Royal Connections’. Aquascutum will open their archive to the public for the event that will take place in advance of the wedding.

JAEGER - Jaeger will be celebrating the Wedding by offering customers 20% off full priced purchases in store from the 26 May to the 30 May.

LIBERTY – A selection of commemorative Royal Wedding products have been produced for the Royal Wedding.   

THE ORGANIC PHARMACY - Pampering package: Book the award winning Signature Rose Crystal Facial (90mn) and get a complimentary 30min massage. Only valid for appointments on April 29. The Organic Pharmacy will be working hard to recreate Kate’s beautiful and delicate glow. The Organic Pharmacy will share its best tips to achieve Kate Middleton’s flawless English Rose complexion.

CHURCH’S – Planning a special Regent Street window for the wedding week.

OLIVER SWEENEY - In celebration of the Royal Wedding Oliver Sweeney are setting the challenge to design the ‘Ultimate Wedding shoe’ using Oliver Sweeney Custom Made on a specially created iPad app. Oliver Sweeney’s Creative Director will choose his favourite design on the day of the Royal Wedding on April 29 and the winner will get their shoes for free.

MAMAS AND PAPAS - Royal Romper: ‘I could be the next Queen’ will be available in April for £16.

AUSTIN REED – Have produced two products for the Royal Wedding. Austin Reed - Tie RRP: £39
and Viyella - Candle RRP £39

COAST - At the beginning of April Coast will launch its first bridal range. Coast has a bespoke private shopping service named Coast by Appointment. To celebrate Royal wedding Coast will launch a capsule collection of modern bridal gowns, “To Have and To Hold”.

LEVI’S - Royal Wedding - Classic 501’s (which Kate mentioned in an interview that she had a 501 model poster on her wall).

TEZENIS - Union Jack inspired theme within the store.

TED BAKER - Exclusive product range called ‘Better Kate Than Never’ and a promotional activity in store.

MOLTON BROWN - For the Royal wedding Molton Brown is launching limited edition hand wash and lotion “Pettigree Dew” on 28 April.

ANTHROPOLOGIE – Will be serving pimms on April 29.

HOSS - In-store tea, cakes and cava.

RESTAURANTS AND HOTELS:

THE LANGHAM, LONDON - Cherish Finden, the hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef, has created delectable savoury and pastry treats for ‘Tea Royale’, which will be served in Palm Court for the entire month of April. 

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC LONDON STORE - Watch the Royal Wedding live on the in store projection screens and sample the new British menu in the café serving such treats as bangers and mash and scones with jam and cream.

SKETCH - Sketch will be screening the Royal Wedding on April 29. The Gallery at sketch, that has a 360 degree panoramic video projection system, will be set up in a cinema style to screen the wedding live. The Glade will be opened offering the regular comfort food menu or for those who want to indulge, the full champagne afternoon tea.

BENTLEY’S – Will host a wedding breakfast in The Jameson Room with a private entrance leading to the Bar, Lounge and Dining Room.

THE LIVING ROOM - They will be screening the Royal Wedding on their projector downstairs and possibly running a special menu.

PICCOLINO - Ladies Day themed event for the Royal Wedding, where there will be a deal on Champagne cocktails with goody bags. The wedding will be shown on the plasma screens available within the restaurant.

AUBAINE - For the week of the Royal Wedding, from April 27 to May 2, Aubaine will be serving a special Dessert: Aubaine Royal Dessert, which is a Sticky Toffee Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream. (Kate Middleton’s Favourite).

THE CRITERION RESTAURANT – Will be celebrating the Royal wedding of William and Catherine with a special one day event. The restaurant will open from 10.30am with screens around the restaurant to view the ceremony and all the coverage. All guests will receive a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival.
