Join Yotopia for Outdoor Yoga Class as part of Worldwide Yoga Event - Sunday 30th September
Second annual global yoga event to express gratitude and give back to India, the birthplace of Yoga
Join the global community of yoga devotees at Yotopia, St Martin’s Courtyard on Sunday 30th September to enjoy an al fresco yoga class and raise money for charity.
Yoga studios, teachers and practitioners from around the world are joining forces to support this global event organised by Yoga Gives Back. The event aims to raise funds and awareness, while offering thanks to the country and culture of India which founded yoga. Yoga Gives Back's programmes now directly fund 103 women and children in India with micro loans and educational funds.
Join the Yotopia team in 108 Sun Salutations, a series of twelve postures performed in a single, graceful flow. Each movement is coordinated with the breath. A single round consists of two complete sequences: one for the right side of the body and the other for the left. On this special day, the class will incorporate 108 rounds, a number which has long been considered a sacred number in Hinduism and yoga.
There is no charge to attend the class but all contributions for the charity will be welcomed.
In the spirit of saluting the sun, the class will be held in outdoors at St Martin’s Courtyard, on Sunday 30 September from 2 - 3pm. Or if it rains, the class will take place at Yotopia studios.
