Regent Street, London W1 has launched its refreshed consumer website regentstreetonline.com in readiness for the expected increase in UK and international visitors throughout the London 2012.     The website has introduced a new social networking layer with live access to established platforms Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. The sophisticated shopping directory with its intuitive search function allows users to browse 137 shops, restaurants and cafes with ease. Visual content has increased too with a conscious effort to showcase the variety of fashion and lifestyle brands and historical and cultural attractions within the Regent Street area. Subscribers will also receive the latest celebrity interviews and trend reports as well as information on competitions, offers and forthcoming events.

Annie Walker, Director of Regent Street Association says: “Recent construction projects such as the BBC, Quadrant 3 and the Café Royal Hotel will bring an additional 10,000 business professionals to London’s West End. We also wanted to create a sense of community and engage with the local workers within the Regent Street area by introducing live travel updates and Regent Street news”.

Visitors to the site will find a pocket history of classic British brands such as Liberty and Austin Reed who have been on Regent Street for more than 100 years, as well as the latest arrivals Michael Kors, Kirk Originals, Sebago, Hollister and Superdry. Restaurant and café reviews advise where to eat and drink in Regent Street’s Food Quarters, Heddon and Swallow Street. Fashion brands Wolsey, Woolrich, Stone Island, Jack Spade, UGG, Coach and the world’s largest Burberry store will be joining the website, spring 2012.

With over 26 million people visiting London every year, Regent Street continues to attract new international and domestic shoppers  with its impressive line up of flagship stores, including Apple, Ferrari, Anthropologie, Banana Republic, Guess, Gant, Michael Kors, Barbour, Armani Exchange,  Calvin Klein and Desigual.
