LONDON – The Crown Estate today announced that Regent Street, London W1 will play host to a satellite media centre which will be based in the West End during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, said: "London has some fantastic stories to tell during the Games and journalists from across the globe now have two state of the art facilities from which to cover them. Thanks to the Crown Estate’s wonderful Regent Street building we can offer a second centre right in the heart of London where the world’s media can base themselves during this summer like no other."

UK and international journalists will now have access to a venue which covers all their needs and is in the thick of the excitement and celebrations, as we host a summer like no other.”

David Shaw, Head of the Regent Street Portfolio at The Crown Estate says: “A trip to London isn’t complete without visiting Regent Street where, during the Olympics, our Regent Street Media Centre will act as a window to the world.
