World Water Week 2022 opens for sessions and seminar proposals
World Water Week 2022 will take place online and in Stockholm and the application process for hosting a session and seminar is now open.
World Water Week is where academia meets decision-makers and where experience meets young perspectives, to make the world a more water-wise place. It is where knowledge is shared, and solutions take shape.
Applications are open to organizations from all sectors, striving to advance knowledge in a water-related field. To those who want to share innovative findings, tools or processes that influence the ways we manage and use water?

World Water Week is committed to inclusive dialogues where all voices are heard. Convenors are encouraged to submit sessions that follow the Gold Standard for broad representation.
Session formats
As World Water Week 2022 will happen both online and on-site in Stockholm, various session formats are available:
- Online sessions: to foster worldwide conversations and expand boundaries.
- Length: 80 minutes (with at least 35 minutes dedicated to audience interaction)

- Online tracks: to build capacity through training spanning across sectors toward the co-creation of solutions that reduce ecological impacts on water resources.
- Length: 170 minutes

- On-site sessions: to enable lively discussions and initiate new conversations via face-to-face interactions.
- Length: 90 minutes

Seminars
Organizations looking at presenting research on water issues can submit an abstract to one of the eight seminars. All fields of research are welcome as long as they relate to the issues being addressed. Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Programme Committee.

World Water Week 2022
World Water Week will take place 23 August to 1 September 2022 online and in Stockholm! This new format will offer opportunities to connect face to face and online to engage audiences worldwide. Join us to address the world’s most pressing challenges under the theme ‘Seeing the unseen: The value of water.’
