Christel Åkerman new Senior Vice President Risk Management at Skanska

Christel Åkerman has been appointed Senior Vice President Risk Management at Skanska, reporting to President and CEO Johan Karlström. Christel Åkerman will begin November 1, and succeeds Thomas Alm who will retire after thirty years in the company.

Christel Åkerman has been working in Skanska since 1994. During her time in Skanska she has worked in several markets as a Commercial Manager for projects in Malta and Colombia and as Head of Legal Affairs Skanska Poland. The last four years Christel has been at Skanska AB working with the Code of conduct and Group Staff Risk Management. 

“Christel knows risk management from the inside after being directly involved in a number of large projects. She also knows Skanska Group well. Christel is very dedicated and committed and I warmly welcome her to her new position. At the same time I will also like to thank Thomas Alm for his invaluable achievements under more than thirty years in Skanska”, says Johan Karlström, President and CEO of Skanska.
