Katarina Grönwall is taking over as the new Senior Vice President, Communications for the Skanska Group. She has been the Group Communications Manager since August 2009 and has accordingly been in charge of day-to-day work with communications and brand issues for the Group.

Katarina Grönwall is 42 years old and holds a Master of Laws degree. Previously, she worked for ten years at the communications bureau Hallvarsson & Halvarsson, where she was a member of its Management Team for the past five years. She will be assuming her new position immediately and succeeds Karin Lepasoon.

Karin Lepasoon is Executive Vice President and a member of Skanska’s Senior Executive Team. She will now take on increased areas of responsibility within the Senior Executive Team and will be in charge of strategy development and the coordination of operations by the Group Staff Units. The Group Staff Units for IT and Sustainability will also be reporting to her, as will the Skanska Group’s Green Business Officer (GBO). As previously, the Communications and Investor Relations Group Staffs Units report to Karin Lepasoon.

At the same time, Louise Hallqvist has been appointed new Senior Vice President, Group Staff Controlling, in the Skanska Group. She will assume the position on March 1 and replace Anders Lilja, who will become the new CFO of the Skanska Sweden business unit. She will report to Skanska’s CFO and Executive Vice President, Hans Biörck.

Louise Hallqvist is 43 and in recent years has worked as a controller at Skanska. She has been with Skanska since 2006 and has previously worked for 12 years holding various positions at ABB Financial Services. She holds a Master of Science degree in Business and Economics from Stockholm University.

“Katarina and Louise have both, within a short period of time, contributed to the development of communications and controlling at Skanska. They have important assignments ahead to further strengthen our brand and to ensure that we implement our projects in the best manner possible,” comments Johan Karlström, Skanska’s President and CEO.
